GSECL LIGNITE THERMAL POWER STATION @ PANDHRO-KUTCH
Students of Electrical Department have visited Pandhro lignite thermal power plant which is located near pandhro village in Lakhpat taluka in kutch. The plant is adjacent of lignite mines (operated by Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation) and receives lignite direct from the mines. There are four units presently in operation and Thermal power plant capacity is 290 MW.
GETCO 66KV SUBSTATION @ DOLATAPARA
An electrical substation is very important part of the electrical network. It is link between generation and load point. So in this visit students got much knowledge about electrical power transmission and distribution. Main purpose for this visit is to be familiar with industrial environment and to get practical knowledge of electrical power transmission and distribution and maintenance of various equipment.
MUNDRA PORT AND THERMAT POWER PLANT @ MUNDRA
Students of Electrical Department have visited Mundra port, india’s largest commercial port with 110 MMTPA capacity imports from all over the world. Thay also visited Adani wilmar refinery for edible oil filter and packaging & Thermal power plant of capacity 4620 MW to enhance their practical knowledge.
Wind Farm Visit @ Excel Crop Care Limited,Dhank
In Wind Farm, Wind power is extracted from air flow using wind turbines which convert the kinetic energy in the wind into mechanical power. This mechanical power can be used for a generator can convert this mechanical power into electricity to power homes, businesses, schools etc.

Students of ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING department had visited "SWITCH GLOBAL EXPO" organized by GoG at vadodara. Switch represents this ambitious and powerful spirit of India. One of the largest electrical expos in the country, Switch had been held from October 6 to 10, 2016, in Vadodara. It represents one of the biggest networks of electrical manufacturers, innovators, technologies and partners in the industry.
