GETCO 400kV SUBSTATION JETPUR
Main purpose for this visit is to be familiar with industrial environment and to get practical knowledge of electrical power transmission and distribution. Students get the idea of electrical power transmission and distribution. Students will also get familiar with Transformer maintenance, circuit breaker, Transformer isolator, bus bar, Protective relays, Lightening arresters, Load break switches.
ATOMIC POWER STATION KAKRAPAR
Atomic power station situated at kakrapar is engaged in the most prominent field of power generation that is nuclear power generation. The plant running with the capacity of 440MW & two more plant with the capacity of 700MW each are under construction. From this visit students become familiar with the process of nuclear power generation.
Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Ltd. SIKKA Thermal Power Station
TPS (Thermal power station) situated at Sikka in the field of generation & has been incorporated with GSECL (Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Ltd.) with total capacity of 750MW power generation. After this visit students became familiar with industrial environment and to get practical knowledge of power generation.
