RAILWAY STATION - JETALSAR JUNCTION
The Department of Civil engineering visited a Railway Station at Jetalsar junction with students of 5th & 7th Semester students on 25th July 2016. Main purpose of arranging the visit of railway station was to give the knowledge about construction & function of different components of railway station like railway slippers, ballast, butt joints, elevated shaft supported conical & steel water tank.
STEEL STRUCTURE OF INDUSTRIAL BUILDING
On the date of 25th July 2016 Civil department visited a steel structure of industrial building of Rajani group of Company near Jetalsar with students of 5thsem and 7th sem. From the visit student learnt about erection of steel structure, construction of RCC building and Rigid pavement in industrial zone.
LIGNITE COAL MINE TADKESWAR
Lignite Mine is located in Tadkeshwar Village near Mandvi taluka of surat district which is producing of average Lignite about 33.90 million tonnes in a year. Purpose of the visit was to make the students familiar about different types of minerals, rocks & geological features of different earth layer which is very useful for their subjective study.

KAKRAPAR ATOMIC POWER STATION NPCIL
The Kakrapar atomic power station consists the 2 units power plant producing 220MW of electricity each, involving the construction of a series of large reactor building, turbine building and other common facilities. Our main purpose for this visit is to figure out the reasons of leakage in structure and to know the solutions of the atomic waste disposal.
GRID CONTOUR SURVEY
The department of Civil Engineering has organized a grid contour survey for 60 students of 3rd semester on 3rd October 2015 at Baliyavad village of Junagadh district. Our main purpose for this survey is to make students familiar with practical knowledge of surveying and use of its instruments in field & enhance their subjective knowledge.
