Application of MATLAB in Electrical Engineering
Electrical department had organized workshop for 6th semester electrical students of Kalyan Polytechnic college, jamnagar. MATLAB is a high-level numerical computation environment and it’s use for educational and industrial purposes can do tasks at a faster rate than any other tool or any other way of computation. Faculties taught Introduction About Matlab, Programming in Matlab, Plotting the graph, Simulink in Matlab. More than 31 Students from diploma electrical engineering from this college have successfully attended this workshop and got the benefit of practical based approach of Application of MATLAB in Electrical engineering which will be very much useful for the students when they got the job in MATLAB based companies.
SKILL DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP ON PV SYST SOFTWARE
Department of ELECTRICAL engineering had organize 1 day skill development workshop on PV SYST SOFTWARE for the students of final year diploma electrical engineering of GOVERNMENT POLYTECHNIC, RAJKOT. PVsyst is a PC software package used globally for the study, sizing, simulation and data analysis of complete solar PV System. A lot of financial decisions are taken basis the simulation report which is given as an output by the software. Objective of the workshop is to give the hands on training on PV Syst & its simulation to the students. At the end of the workshop students are very much clear about the use of PV Syst software & its application in industries.

SKILL DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP ON GRID CONNECTED SOLAR PV PLANT
Department of ELECTRICAL engineering had organize 1 day skill development workshop on GRID CONNECTED SOLAR PV PLANT for the students of final year diploma electrical engineering of Dr. J.N.MEHTA GOVERNMENT POLYTECHNIC, AMRELI. This is very important to learn for electrical students that how the solar system works, and how the solar plant is connect with grid system. From this workshop students familiar with all aspects very clearly.

Department of ELECTRICAL engineering had organize 1 day skill development workshop on PV SYST SOFTWARE for the students of final year diploma electrical engineering of AV PAREKH TECHNICAL INSTITUTE, RAJKOT. PVsyst is a PC software package used globally for the study, sizing, simulation and data analysis of complete solar PV System. A lot of financial decisions are taken basis the simulation report which is given as an output by the software. This expert talk was delivered by our head of department Prof Nayansir Joshi, Prof Yogeshsir Joshi and Prof Chiragsir Solanki. Objective of the workshop is to give the hands on training on PV Syst & its simulation to the students. At the end of the workshop students are very much clear about the use of PV Syst software & its application in industries.
Internal Hackathon-2020
Institutions Innovation Council from OM Engineering College arranged an event on Internal Hackathon-2020 on dated 7th January, 2020. The jury of this event is Dr. H. B. Bhatt, he is Principal of Science College. Approximately 12 groups & 72 students were participated in this event. Students were come with the banner and presentation slide of problem statement of hardware & software. In this event students have benefited the basic knowledge of HACKATHON event & its selection process and also learn various problem statements. Students were benefited a lot from this event. Students were eagerly to say conducting this type of event for technical activity approach which is shows the success of this event.
