ASME, founded in 1880, is a not-for-profit membership organization of 1,40,000 diversified members, including 30,000 students across 151 countries. It promotes the art, science and practice of multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences around the globe.

It started with an aim to make life more comfortable by developing engineering solutions in this rapidly changing world and also to create value of the engineering profession.

By conducting certain quality programmes like Seminars, Conferences, Publication, Training the organization seeks to achieve its fundamentals principles of Collaboration, Knowledge sharing, Creation of diverse engineering workforce, Career enrichment, and Skills development. It provides its constant support to Industries, Governments, Academic Institutions, and Emerging as well as Experienced engineers.
